18 DIY Spring Decor & Craft Project Ideas

Today I’m sharing some cute DIY spring decor ideas.  The weather here is so unpredictable right now: one minute it’s warm and everything is melting – the next it’s a blizzard and the temperature plummets.  Whatever Mother Nature has in store for us, here are some easy ways to bring spring inside!

Faux Hydrangea Wreath:

I enjoyed these faux hydrangeas all over my house: in my DIY planter box, in a vase for my summer home tour, and finally as a DIY hydrangea wreath.  I love this on on both of my turquoise front doors but it also really cheers up my charcoal grey garage door, which is where it found a permanent home last spring and summer.

Spring Table Runner:

I couldn’t find a table runner pretty enough to buy, so my Mom and I sewed a beautiful one with a blush pink silk fabric and turquoise beaded trim.

Blueberry Dyed Easter Eggs:

Find yourself in possession of some super sour blueberries?  Use them to naturally dye Easter eggs!

Upcycled Card Garland:

Last spring I upcycled a lot of spring/floral themed cards I had been given over the years and made this easy & FREE spring garland!

Alcohol Ink Easter Cards:

Speaking of cards, make your own beautiful alcohol ink Easter cards with my easy tutorial.

Plywood Planter Box:

To bring a little cheer inside – because “Spring” means “More Snow” around here – a few springs ago we built this modern little DIY planter box and used it to create a faux flower garden!

Colorful Tassel Key Chain:

Add some spring vibes to your keys with this easy and colorful tassel key chain tutorial.

Faux Flower Clutch Upcycle:

This project was such a cute one! I turned an 80s crossbody bag into a fun and sculptural spring clutch!

Ice Dyed Napkins:

These DIY ice dyed napkins are perfect for spring if you live in a colder climate like me – you can even hop outside and grab some snow, haha.  Dyed in springy colors like turquoise and bold pink, these colorful napkins are a fun addition to any spring tablescape.

Easy Pastel Colored Artwork:

Try this easy abstract art tutorial (you can make this with kiddos!) and choose pastels for a spring vibe!  Thrift cheap wood frames or slip your art into existing frames just for the season.

Daisy Napkin Rings:

I used scrap wood and faux daisies to create these cute and cheery napkin rings (you can use any flower and paint them any color, of course!).

Moss & Egg Wreath:

I used supplies from Dollarama (wreath, eggs, moss) to create these pretty DIY egg wreaths.  I love them for spring (and summer into fall) coop decor…

Bunny Stool Hack:

I took a stool from the landfill and gave it bunny ears to make this cute bunny stool for spring!  Great for a kid’s room or as a seasonal plant stand to give a houseplant some oomph.

Felted Wool Billy Buttons:

No flowers blooming?  No problem!  Make these pretty DIY felted wool billy buttons and enjoy these blooms all year round.

Wired Ribbon Rose Brooch:

If my faux flower clutch is too much bloom for you, how about a single wired ribbon rose brooch?  Surprisingly easy to make, this flower brooch looks so pretty on a spring trench coat.

Floral Beaded Tea Cozy:

I drink tea all year so while this might seem like a cozy, wintry project, I think the floral applique, pale blue linen and sparkly beading make this floral beaded tea cozy a pretty spring craft too!

Hand Painted Abstract Easter Eggs:

Create these hand painted Easter eggs using faux eggs and display them in a bowl or turn them into garland!

Bleached Embroidery Textiles:

Turn vibrant, jewel-toned embroideries into pastel spring decor with these easy steps!
