It’s the second year of making my Mom’s vintage ornament dreams come true and I found her the BEST artificial Christmas tree for vintage ornaments: the Noble Fir from King of Christmas:

I partnered with King of Christmas last year and they gifted me my stunning 9 foot tall Royal Fir Slim Christmas tree. I have such a small – but tall! – living room and King of Christmas had the most beautiful tree with the exact unique proportions I needed. They really have the perfect tree for every space…

Why the King Noble Fir is Perfect for Vintage Ornament Collections:
Last year we found a fun blue spruce artificial Christmas tree for my Mom but the ornaments felt lost among the dense branches. I’ve since realized that a vintage Christmas ornament collection really shines on a tree that’s not so packed with branches. These ornaments can be on the small side, with delicate hand painted designs, so a Christmas tree with more space between the branches is perfect for letting them shine!

Of course, King of Christmas had exactly what I pictured in my mind: the beautiful King Noble Fir artificial tree has really lovely realistic branches that have nice fullness but with space in between the layers. The King Noble Fir is available in 6, 7, 8, and 9 foot heights and there are other options as well: it’s also available in pre-lit/unlit and natural green or flocked. We chose pre-lit flocked, which is pre-strung with 500 UL warm white Micro LED lights. There is a handy remote and foot pedal to control the light settings. The lights feel warm and cozy, and they reflect a perfect glow from the vintage glass ornaments, which creates a nostalgic vibe for a vintage Christmas.

Choosing a Flocked Christmas Tree:
Although the natural green Noble Fir is definitely a vintage inspired artificial Christmas tree, we ultimately chose a flocked Christmas tree because we thought the white would really help the colorful ornaments POP and, oh my gosh, do these ornaments ever look stunning against the snowy backdrop.

Does the King of Christmas Flocked Tree Shed?
I was worried the flocking might shed, but while there was a bit of shedding as we set up the Christmas tree (probably some loose material from manufacturing), once we started to decorate it there was surprisingly little shedding! You can see how little it shed in the video below:
Continuing the Vintage Ornament Collection:
We haven’t added to the vintage ornament collection yet this season (I have found exactly ONE aqua four leaf clover vintage ornament this year), but at the end of last year we did thrift some boxes of vintage ornaments that we never added to the tree because Christmas had come and gone. We were excited to set up Mom’s tree already to inventory what we now have. Because we built out the collection a bit, this year we decided to mostly use vintage ornaments. Last year we “cheated” and included all of our colorful, DIY alcohol ink ornaments. We haven’t decided whether to add the silver tinsel or not, but I did manage to find some vintage tinsel garland that looks so perfect and adds a warm glow. It might be a bit early, but it feels so good to have the tree set up already because as we thrift and find vintage ornaments we can hang them right away!! I’m hoping we’re as lucky this year as we were last year…

King of Christmas Silver Twists Glass Ornaments
Although we were mostly vintage ornament purists this year, we did add one non-vintage mushroom ornament with vintage vibes, the spiral glass ornaments that are actually from the 1990s, as well as two packs of these beautiful hand blown glass ornaments from King of Christmas. They have a beautiful vintage aesthetic and they complement the silver Shiny Brites and other vintage ornaments so well. I was hoping they wouldn’t work, so I could steal them for my aqua and silver Christmas tree theme, but no such luck…

We’re Not Done Decorating Yet, Though!
We still want to do something special with the mantel and also add some fun to the basic upcycled DIY tree skirt we made years ago… I gave my Mom the vintage brass deer I thrifted earlier this year and they look so perfect. But I’m also planning some cute holiday themed art and of course some DIY ornaments!

And, of course, no Christmas tree is complete without a DIY beaded Christmas spider ornament!

Huge Thank You to King of Christmas for providing the best artificial Christmas tree for vintage ornaments – along with the perfect hand blown glass ornaments to complete the look. I have been so thrilled with my own King of Christmas artificial tree and beautiful glass ornaments, so it was fun to share this magic with my Mom this season!
