10 DIY Fall Crafts for Adults

Looking for some fun, but elegant, DIY fall crafts for adults?  Sure, kids can help make a lot of these DIY fall decor ideas, but each of these fall craft ideas are fun for adults and chic enough to display in your home for fall decorating.  Let me show you some of my favorite projects for DIY fall decorating!

DIY Felt Leaf Garland

Upcycle old felt sweaters and blankets, or purchase sheets of felt in your fall decorating colors, and make this easy DIY felt leaf garland for your fall mantel or around windows for a cozy look.  You can see it styled on a fall mantel in the photo above (see more here).

DIY Concrete Pumpkins

With only a few supplies, create these adorable DIY concrete pumpkins for fall porch decorating.

DIY Beaded Leaves

Turn these DIY beaded leaves into a garland, add to a DIY fall wreath (like this leaf shaped wire wreath form!), or hang from your windows as a pretty sun catcher.  They are a great way to use up leftover beads – or cut up old beaded costume jewelry and give it a new life.

DIY Feather Wreath

Whether you collect chicken feathers (like I did) to make your own DIY feather wreath, or purchase ethically sourced ones, this wreath adds a rustic touch to fall front door decorating.  Plus it was deeply satisfying to make!

DIY Chalk Paint Pumpkins

You can spray paint faux pumpkins any color, but using this particular shade of grey/blue chalk paint makes them look like blue heirloom (like jarrahdale) pumpkins!  Make your own DIY chalk paint pumpkins and add to fall crafts (like a DIY pumpkin wreath), fall table centerpieces, fall mantels, and more.

Moody DIY Fall Wreath

If you love fall decorating, but not traditional fall decor colors, create your own DIY fall wreath using a palette you like!  I combined icy blue, copper, and purple to create a moody DIY fall wreath that complements my other DIY fall decor and house exterior.

DIY Painted Mason Jar Fall Centerpiece

Spray paint old glass jars and forage for wildflowers to create this easy and inexpensive DIY fall centerpiece.

DIY Marbled Pumpkins

Use up old nail polish – or purchase a dollar store bottle in a color you love – to make your own elegant DIY marbled pumpkins.

DIY Velvet and Felt Mushrooms

Make a bowl full of these adorable little DIY velvet and felt mushrooms (or turn them into a garland, like this!) for a touch of fall whimsy.

DIY Bedazzled Pumpkins

Of course I made my own glam DIY rhinestone pumpkins in turquoise, but you can use any color combo you like.  These dollar store stick on rhinestones also come in colorful gems and even faux pearls (see below for a natural pumpkin + faux pearl combo), for an even more elegant look.
