I’m so excited to be joining some of my favorite bloggers for a spring blog hop – I hope you enjoy my simple spring home tour 2021! If you’re coming over from Maison de Cinq, welcome to the lakehouse! I love participating in these tours because you get to discover some beautiful new accounts. Plus it’s good motivation for me to document parts of my home at a moment in time – and then it’s fun to look back and see how my home has changed from year to year. But to be honest, what my home really needs right now is a good spring clean but our well ran dry! We got a water delivery and, although the well has been recovering, we’re still conserving water around here so I decided to ignore the cleaning and focus on decorating instead!
In the bedroom, I have actually installed a beautiful and watery mural – just in time for spring. I shared a sneak peek on Instagram and I’ll share a full reveal here soon as well. I also added some tulips and fresh new accent pillows. Well, the velvet one was borrowed from the living room, haha. But the other two were stolen from my Mom! I bought that fabric years ago, but she ended up with it and sewed these pillows which I promptly stole. And I’ll let you in on a little secret. Those flowers are from the kitchen – I have been moving them back and forth every day. I enjoy them in the kitchen during the day, and then move them to the bedroom in the evening. (#genius – it’s like two bouquets for the price of one).
See? Now they’re in the kitchen! I also made the egg tray below, which has coincided with the hens beginning to pick up laying for spring – after a long and eggless winter!
With its new pale aqua cabinet color, the kitchen needed very little spring decor because it’s permanently spring-y. But I did buy myself some flowers and also added these sweet little ceramic chickens I thrifted ages ago. And yes, I am going to count the fresh eggs on the counter as decor haha.
I also added some tulips to the powder room – another space that needs little more than fresh flowers to feel ready for spring!
In the dining room, I brought out the pretty spring table runner my Mom and I sewed a couple of years ago. Find the tutorial for that here – I still love how that inexpensive beaded trim catches the light! And then I made an Easter egg tree, using branches and the alcohol ink Easter eggs I showed you how to make yesterday.
I’ll show you more photos – and share the easy DIY tutorial – tomorrow so be sure to check back! In the living room, I sewed some new throw pillows in spring colors. You already saw how I lightened up the emerald greens and added in mint velvet and a soft new watery print.
I also treated myself to an orchid for the living room.
Those are my simple spring touches! I hope you liked this Simple Spring Tour 2021 – you can look back on my last spring tour here and see how much has changed!

I love your color pallette and your design aesthetics. Teal is one of my favorite colors so maybe that’s why I like it so much.
