If you haven’t decorated a pumpkin yet, I wanted to share a round up of easy, no carve pumpkin decorating ideas. These are all pretty mess-free ways to jazz up a pumpkin (in case gutting a pumpkin in your living room isn’t your idea of a good time, lol).
Pearl Pumpkin
This is a new little pumpkin idea I just made this week: pearl pumpkins! I took a natural little mini pumpkin and just applied some self adhesive pearls from the dollar store. This pumpkin decorating idea doesn’t require glue and the pearls can easily be removed and used for another craft later… I think this would look especially cute on white mini pumpkins.
Rhinestone Pumpkin
Rhinestone pumpkins are one of my favorite – and easiest! – pumpkin decorating ideas. It’s the same concept as the pearl pumpkin. This time, I painted some mini pumpkins various shades of turquoise (always a good idea) and then added some dollar store stick-on rhinestones. Like the faux pearls above, these little rhinestones come with a little adhesive so there’s no messy glue involved and it takes minutes! I love the combo of black, white, and turquoise for Halloween!
Nail Polish Marbled Pumpkin
Another no carve pumpkin decorating idea that only takes minutes: nail polish marbled pumpkins. Just dip and dry! Could not be easier and the end result is so gorgeous (and a fun way to use up nail polish colors you no longer want to wear.
Gradient Spray Paint Pumpkin
This gradient pumpkin idea is a great way to use up dribs and drabs of paint and spray paint – or just to add a little magic to a previously painted pumpkin (I’m a big fan of repainting my faux mini pumpkins, year after year, for a fresh new look).
Chalk Paint Pumpkins
Before I was able to grow my own blue/grey pumpkins, I decided to just fake it and paint my mini pumpkins with chalk paint. To make these inexpensive pumpkins even cuter, I painted the stems copper (rub ‘n buff would work well too). You might have noticed that I used some of these chalk painted pumpkins to make my gorgeous DIY fall wreath this year!
Pyrex Painted Pumpkin
While I was inspired by a vintage Pyrex pattern, you can use a simple paint marker to adorn a pumpkin with ANY hand drawn design. Using a paint pen to decorate a pumpkin is such a fast and mess-free way to decorate a pumpkin!
I hope you liked these easy DIY pumpkin decorating ideas! I love a last minute seasonal project, lol, and these can all be done in under 15 minutes.
Speaking of last minute decorating – I put together a round up of really chic Halloween decor in the most beautiful color palette of aqua, black, white and plum!
