I’m still pinching myself about this.
Canadian House & Home online editors added Dans le Townhouse to their list of “Design Sites We Like“. My little blog can be found alongside some pretty fabulous blogs, like coco+kelley, Young House Love, Design*Sponge and MadeByGirl. I love how House & Home clearly denotes Canadian blogs (marked by a little red maple leaf) and on this list you’ll find Rambling Renovators, Decor8, Desire to Inspire and Poppytalk, among many other amazing reads!
Take a look:
I’m on the House & Home blogroll too!
Yes, I’ll be spending the rest of my day staring dreamily at these screenshots. I’m beyond honoured. I’m just so thankful for the opportunity to blog about fun, home-related topics and interact with my wonderful readers. Blog love like this is just icing! Sweet, pinch-me-I’m-dreaming icing.
This is so cool! Congrats!
Thanks!!
Wow, so cool!
Wow Tanya! Very awesome! Congrats 🙂
This is HUGE! And just more proof that you can't judge a blog by its followers. Your blog is WAY better, more beautiful and well written then a lot of blogs I read that have 5000+ followers. You go girl. Big leagues!
Awww, thanks Julia. That means a lot to me. We smaller blogs have to stick together, right?
Very happy for you! Congrats!! 🙂
I would be staring at the screen all day too! Congrats!
Holy crap!Congratulations! I'm very, very proud and happy for you!

Talk about amazing, congratulations!
Congratulations!!! That is so awesome.
Wow! Congrats! That is so awesome!
Congratulations! Love your site….very well deserved! How exciting!
Such lovely news! Well done. xx
Dude, that is so AWESOME! Congrats!!
Congratulations! The honor is well-deserved. You put so much effort into your blog, and it's beautifully done. And I completely relate to the dreaminess. I felt the same way when RetroStart listed my blog alongside Apartment Therapy, Decor8, Design Sponge and others that I think are unbelievably amazing. It's exciting, but somehow it's a little humbling too.
Dana, your blog is a no-brainer for addition to any blogroll because you are, hands down, the most informative blogger in the whole blogosphere. I can't think of a single blog better researched than yours.
Thank you so much, Tanya. That means so much coming from you! Since we met, I have a special place in my heart for your blog, and it always thrills me to see you get more well-deserved recognition. You put as much heart and soul into your blog as anyone I know, and it shows in the quality.
I feel the same way! I love that we had the opportunity to connect offline because every time I read about your blogging success or the Mid2Mod store taking off, I feel especially thrilled for you and your family. I really enjoy how blogging can connect people who might not have otherwise met. P.S. My mom really wants to meet you. She never comments, but she reads your blog all the time and will phone me to say, "Did you read what Dana wrote? . . . " I'm trying to find an academic conference in Texas so I can get funding for another trip . . .
That is awesome news!!!!!!!!!
Yay, that's awesome! Congrats!
Thanks everyone! Your kind and supportive comments mean a lot to me. I'm especially grateful for the congrats from fellow bloggers.
Sweet
Fantastic Tanya!!! What a thrilling experience that must be.
That's soooo amazing! I am unbelievably happy for you! That's very exciting news and I can totally understand your "pinch me!" feeling. Did you write in anywhere to get noticed or did they just stumble upon your blog? Also when you get featured on other blogs are you submitting something to get there or are they finding it and posting about it? Just curious : )
Hi Christine! Thanks! And good question, I wonder about this also.House and Home sponsored a blogging event I attended (the Canadian Design Bloggers Meetup, I blogged about it earlier this month, you can find it through my archives – to the right – or using the google search feature, also to the right). Anyway, I won a door prize at this event: a subscription to House & Home magazine. I emailed the online editor to claim my prize and she responded, saying she had taken a look at my blog, loved it and was adding it to the blogroll. So they didn't randomly stumble upon my blog but I didn't submit it for consideration, either.Other features, like the D*S and Apartment Therapy features, I submitted projects to. But some features, like the two Curbly features, have happened because someone liked my home and featured it. When I wrote for Fresh Home magazine as a "Fresh Face" I was approached by a representative from the magazine, who had seen my blog. So, long story short, features & opportunities are a mix of good luck and my submitting projects.
Congratulations Tanya! This is very exciting – I'm super stoked for you!!! 🙂
WOW you have to be thrilled. Way to go girl. Another high 5 for yet another talented Canadian.
Yay for Canadians!!
Congratulations! That is so great! Well deserved too. Have a great weekend.
Congratulations Tanya! Super exciting and well deserved… love your blog and all your projects!
Congratulations! I feel like saying I'm proud of you, but that's really strange and oddly intimate and generally incorrect. Suffice to say what everyone else already has, that this is well-deserved and that I'm so glad that all of your hard work is paying off.And another kind of weird thing to say . . . that while all of your projects are clearly fabulous and what drive the blog, I honestly believe it's your super-duper personality that makes us [or at least me] smitten with DLT. Just sayin:)
Awww, you always leave the best comments. I really appreciate what you wrote here. Is it weird that it means a lot to me?!? And I never thought of the blog as DLT and it is making me giggle.
Congratulations Tanya! That's so exciting. Just discovered your blog & am getting caught up. Lovely posts!
