I took a break from excessively photographing the new painting in the bathroom and . . . photographed my recent finds!
Last Saturday was dreary (we still went “treasure-hunting” though!) but this past Saturday was lovely. A perfect day, weather-wise. I’m getting pickier and pickier about what items find their way home with us, but this weekend I couldn’t resist this little pottery bowl:

And I found this cup & saucer set for my grandma. She has other Royal Albert Regal cups & saucers. The neat thing is, she has a set comprised of this same pattern but various colours, all given to her by friends and family. Sweet, right? Now she has one from me!
And a find from last week: a pretty, ornate mirror I cannot wait to prime, paint and hang. But where?

Glad you're enjoying some nice weather to treasure hunt for those great finds. I especially love the little pottery bowl. You know the awful heat I told you would arrive at the end of July or first part of August? It arrived early last month, and we're sweltering. No treasure hunts for me!
I believe it is sweltering, Dana. We have had super humid, hot days (we're both sporting sun-burns as I type) so I can only imagine the oven you live in!
I'm a huge fan of that bowl and I love that you found a perfect match for your grandma's set. She's going to love you for that. Awesome finds!
I know, I'm excited to add to my grandma's collection. My family has done so much for me and asks so little. It is so nice when I can find a little way to thank one of them.
