Hi Holly, thank you so much for your comment. I have not noticed this tree shedding at ALL! After trimming it, maybe one or two pieces, just from the fluffing and handling? But since then, and it’s been months of me adding and moving ornaments, not a single piece. I have had cheap garland before that sheds when you look at it, so I understand your concern, but I have not experienced that at ALL with my new tree! This is excellent quality. Hope this helps? Hi Cam, of course! The lighting is controlled by remote or foot pedal. There’s a timer, so it will turn off automatically. You can also control the brightness – it’s nice to be able to make it more dim for TV watching! And there are also different settings of light patterns, plus you can even make the lights multicolored! The glow is warm, but not as warm an incandescent, but it’s not a cold light. I’m very pleased, after two months of use.
