My supplies are so old, I don't have links or exact info on the exact sizes I used. I used to do a lot of beading and so I just have this epic stash of thrifted and outdated supplies. My best advice would be to shop in person at a place like Michael's just to be sure the hole size is adequate for the wire.

Sorry, you're correct: I made a mistake and confused 20 gauge with 30 gauge when writing my tutorial and supply list. 20 gauge (thicker wire) for the spokes and 28 gauge (thinner wire) for holding the center together and also adding the details. I'm going to correct that right now - good eye!

Is the wire for the center "spokes" 30 gauge or 20 gauge? The tutorial says 30 gauge but in the picture of the supplies it shows 20 gauge. Shouldn't the center "spokes" be a stronger thicker wire than the 28 gauge that that is used to wrap around them?
