Thanks Cathie! That’s my plan if I can get to the mine – this was all I had for now. Love your idea to check HomeSense. I linked some etsy shops with cheap amethyst but the shipping always adds up so taking peek at HomeSense is a great idea!

Just enough to give it some sparkle and a nice contrast to the roughness of the concrete but I’d also like to see one where the entire rim is done in amethyst. And I looked into the Thunder Bay amethyst mine, its too far away for me but it sure looks like a fun outing (I had no idea it was mined here in Ontario). For anyone who wants to try this but has no access to the mine, sometimes you can pick up chunks of it at Homesense.
